Supafly Pro Tuning is a low cost service to help any person get the maximum performance and flight feel from any 3,4,5,6 or 7 Inch freestyle drone
Whether you have purchased a ready built drone (which typically come with mediocre tuning) or built your own and want to get the max out of it – we can do that quickly and easily. As the feedback below show – customers often experience a significant transformation in performance.
Methodology
Unlike most tuning where the PIDs are set whilst hovering – we observe the tuning at max rotation rate and over the full throttle range which is only possible when you understand log parameter traces over the full RPM range. We then push the pid gains according to noise levels and headroom. Our approach represents a combination of textbook control theory combined with years of flight experience knowledge which only a handful in the industry have.
The Process:
Once you purchase this service you will receive a download with instructions with how to proceed in setting up the drone and taking the first log. You then email that to us.
We reply usually on the same day with a text file which is loaded into the configurator and inputs and saves the changes in a few seconds. Then all that’s needed is for the customer to repeat the log and send back for analysis.
Usually 2 – 4 rounds of this and the tuning is spot on. We include all the same tweaks that Supafly frame customers get, and we will do our best to squeeze out the best performance possible.
Depending on how busy things are at Supafly this can happen over a few hours directly or a few days. The customer can take as long as needed – there is no rush and no pressure for perfection in log moves. We can guide you thought and solve any issues along the way.
The foundation of a great tune is a great frame made with good components (why we sell them). If the customer needs to replace any component – we can pause and re-start when that is fitted. Because the approach is email based – we tune quads all over the world – and we love doing it and helping people get the most out of this hobby.
