Flipmicro – 2.5 Inch

Flipmicro 2.5 presents freestyle performance in the smallest Supafly package yet - designed for 2.5" props with a 3 or 4s lipo and builds around 150g to 180g.

This platform creates small powerful builds and can use the latest digital tech and you can achieve all the same moves as the larger siblings - but cheaper, quieter and safer.

Pilots describe the fun factor of surprising performance alongside a quiet and lightweight build, enabling flying in more accessible locations without attracting undue attention.

This makes frequent flying easier, requiring less travel and special effort to get to locations, whilst still delivering a mad dose of freestyle fun.

We aim for a 150-180g build on 2.5" props to give balanced freestyle characteristics - not only good power to weight but also drag to weight. Drag to weight based around prop size and mass is critical for a controllable descent rate and trick momentum - an important but rarely discussed component of freestyle physics.

Features:

• Custom quasi-isotropic layup T700 2.5mm carbon base plate - great directional stiffness, strength and low noise
• Proper freestyle layout providing top mount lipo and squashed X Supafly geometry for legit mini freestyle feel
• Plenty of build room including for separate receiver means less reliance on rare and problematic AIO with integrated receivers
• GPS mount and lipo protector horn option
• Supafly tunes for 3s and 4s included with auto-switch setup when using AIO and motors above

Frame fits the following components:

• Cameras: 14mm Nano size to 20mm width with many supporting inserts in the 3d parts.
• Electronics stack: 25x25 AIO in square or diagonal pattern and 20x20. Recommended:  JHEMCU H743HD AIO
• Motors: 9x9mm mounting pattern. Recommended Rcinpower 1303 6000kv for 3s light builds (160g) or 1404 for 4s heavier builds (200g)
• Props: HQProp TR2.5x2.5x3 (the best we tried)
• Video Systems: DJI O4 Lite Wide, HDZero Whoop v2 with 90fps camera, Walksnail Mini, Rush Tank Tiny, Foxeer Reaper Nano etc...
• Receiver: Radiomaster RP1 or Happymodel EP1 or similar
• Lipo: 3s or 4s 450 - 550mah

Aim for 150 - 180g build ready to fly - this is the best balance of power and weight for balanced flight characteristics.

Our favourite is the 1303 motors with a lighweight 3 or 4s lipo (40-50g) making a build with digital VTX around 160g.
